Memorial Day is always a special occasion for the Hickman Family. John Hickman served in the US Navy Reserve and reached the rank of LT. Lester Griffin, Bette's father, served in WWII as a Flight Engineer on a B-24 Liberator.
The Hickman's are seen here in this picture with fellow veteran COL Willie Boyd. We look forward to honoring our soldiers each year, and enjoy the fellowship with other veterans.
This year the VFW 2667 honored the memory of local hero Terry Allen who died in Vietnam at 21 years of age. This testimony serves as a reminder to us of all our brave men and women serving in Iraq right now.
